Anime Origins Unit Tier List

Choose for the mode you need to clear and the materials you can earn. Start with the mode recommendations and acquisition gates, then use the roster below to compare individual roles.

Best picks for your mode and progression

Story / Legend

Start with a farm, accessible ground damage and Hill coverage. Vegeta and Goku are practical early evolution goals; Itsugo can grow from Rare. Fix air leaks before buying another ground carry.

Raids

Use a stable evolved damage core, anti-air and economy. Ban adds meals and income after his Fairy Forest unlock; he does not replace the damage needed to earn that first copy.

JJK Rift

Reserve slots for economy, Hill damage and multiple rubble placements. An unevolved Meliodas is one reported rubble option. Successful clears advance Yuta pity; failed attempts do not.

Infinity Mansion

Add control to an established damage and economy core. Gojo and Yuta's copied actives can extend attack windows; prioritize reliable control timing over the highest tier letter alone.

Compare the cost of reaching a finished unit

Ban and Bon refer to the same character. Compare the base and evolved forms together with their resource costs: a raid reward, a Rift reward and a banner summon require different farming plans.

How to use this list (realistic expectations)

How to use this list (realistic expectations)

  1. Madara is a quest and Trial II reward, not a summon target. Other S-tier goals follow their own acquisition routes; build a reliable income and clearing team first.
  2. Start with a reliable A-tier carry + an income unit (Bulma) so story-clears fund your gem loop. Swap up as summons land.
  3. Compare your team by mode: cover a carry, Hill damage and economy before investing in another ground attacker.
  4. Evolving the right unit beats summoning more of the wrong one. Pair this list with the evolve guide below.
Tier

How this tier list is built

Compare the unit’s role with your current failure: ground damage, air coverage, income or control. A role you lack can matter more than a tier letter.

Consider the full acquisition and evolution cost. Madara quests, Yuta Rift pity and Ban’s Raid shop cannot be substituted by more banner rolls.

Update 1 added Rainu Harto, Shali, Emmy, Sobaru & Beti, Jolius, Prisla and Kenshen, according to MrGuider (September 5). The older S–C table does not assign them new balance-test ratings.

S-Tier — High-investment targets

S: S-Tier — High-investment targets

Check the acquisition route first: a quest Secret, Rift reward and banner unit use different resources. Add the target when your team can farm its requirements.

A-Tier - Strong

A: A-Tier - Strong

Reliable carries and supports that fill key slots. Safe second-pick ups.

B-Tier - Situational

B: B-Tier - Situational

Solid in early story or a niche role; replace as better units appear.

C-Tier - Beginner/placeholder

C: C-Tier - Beginner/placeholder

Use an accessible unit to fill a missing role while building an evolution or replacement. An earlier-form letter alone does not describe its evolved potential.

FAQ

What does S-tier mean in Anime Origins?

Here S-tier is a high-investment label from the earlier roster index. Choose a unit for its mode role and attainable acquisition route; it is not a guarantee of the best result in every mode.

Is this a complete unit list?

No. The 24 linked profiles preserve our existing roster, including aliases. Update 1 additions are named in the methodology; the table is not a complete live roster.

Are the odds real?

Yuta has a 2% chance per successful Rift clear and pity at 40 wins; Valcrad has a 0.01% banner chance after level 10. Follow each profile’s acquisition route.

Should I reroll for an S-tier?

First identify a missing role. A usable economy, Hill and evolved damage core is a better immediate goal than rolling for a letter; quest and Rift Secrets do not come from ordinary banner rerolls.
