Use duplicates for accessible units and save Fusion Cores for scarce copies such as Madara or Yuta. Guides list Raids and Igris world-boss rewards/shop as core sources.

These are the bonuses added at each level, not five alternative trait rolls. Earlier bonuses remain as you ascend. The selected unit’s Fuse screen shows its material and chip cost.

Ascension adds permanent stats to a unit through levels I–V. It is a separate investment from evolution and the star system. The guides below describe the materials and each level bonus.
Evolution changes a unit into its next form using its own recipe. Ascension consumes a matching duplicate or a Fusion Core plus Fuse Chips to add a level bonus. Plan the evolution recipe before using a scarce copy as fusion material.

Ascension is a permanent five-level upgrade track, separate from stars and evolution. Its bonuses include damage, range, critical chance and critical damage.
Talk to the NPC beside Summon, select a unit, add its duplicate or a Fusion Core and the required Fuse Chips, then press Fuse. Each fusion adds one level, up to V.
Prioritize a unit you expect to keep. Accessible duplicates are a lower-cost starting point; rare Fusion Cores are most useful where another copy is hard to obtain.
